I just installed the update to 165.
when i create a forum and try to browse it, i alway get a 404error by the web server.. any ideas?

Link to your forum please? I'm guessing you have SEO URLs enabled without having the correct .htaccess settings. If SEO URLs are enabled in the ACP, rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.
Yeah, it looks like a problem with your .htaccess as I predicted. Do you have a file called .htaccess in your forum root? If not, rename the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess
