Hi guys,
we all aware of cookie free domain for static files and images, so it makes forum faster due to less cookie requests for images to server, resulting in less traffic and high load speed to forum.


think:
my domain: domain.com
sub domain: static.domain.com

now i want to my images to this static.domain.com
(i installed customized theme in forum: domain.com)

1)
so i what to set up in cookie place, .domain.com or .www.domain.com...??
(need cookies to set to domain.com only, not to subdomain)

2)
which images to move and what are the changes to do in directory..??
In theme option it ask for image directory, so how can i set that as subdomain

1. If you only allow access to your forum through www.domain.com (meaning, users are NOT allowed to access the forum through http://domain.com without www) then you can set your cookie domain to .www.domain.com

If you set your cookie domain to .www.domain.com then users will have problems if they try to login at http://domain.com

How big is your forum?

my forum is small one only,

what happened if i removed the . (dot) before the cookie,
eg:
domain.com
instead of .domain.com

so now my subdomain is cookie free, right.....??

any help is highly appreciated..
