If anyone knows any good resources for web DESIGN could you please link me to them? I am really wanting to learn to actually design them. If someone gives me a PSD i can easily make a website out of it, it's just the whole design process that i am terrible with

Lately I don't waste time with planning it out in photoshop. Most designs are basic enough that you don't need to.

My favorite site for colors and patters in is colourlovers though.

That's a great list. I love Notepad++.

Although I think this is what you want, I could be wrong. I suggest "Learning Web Design" by Jennifer Niederst Robbins. Published by O'Reilly books. I find it quite handy, myself.
