Hello guys,

I notice that when we deactivate a plugin and activate again, we loose all the plugin configuration. This is very annoying because we have to setup all again.

Is there any way to prevent this to happen?

You could take a big stick and whack the plugin author with it...

Plugins written for 1.6 could have separate functions for activating / deactivating than for installing / uninstalling. It is up to the plugin author to follow this convention.

I do have to say I am guilty of doing that :s I plan on making all my plugins make use of the install functions.

All my 1.6x plugins are now going to fully support install function. But to rebuttal a bit...it's usually not that much work to reconfigure settings for a plugin.

Look in the plugin settings to see if there's a "disable plugin" setting, too.
