Next version will only hide posts after the person was hellbanned. I dunno when I'll have time to work on it, though...
Also, won't it be easy for the user to know they are "hellbanned" when they check the site as guest and don't see their posts?
Yes It's easy. It's good only for forums where guests not allowed to see forum.
Nice, very nice, but needs some fix:

People can still see New Threads in the main page opened by the hellbanned author (everytime $lastpost_subject is invoked.) whether it's in the forum bit or in any stats.

This message — "User" is hellbanned. Only Test User and staff can see User's posts — only appears to staff.

Then normal users will reach this new thread, find out it has an empty post and start asking why did the helbanned opened an empty thread.

:\
not works with 1.6.8 all thread its visible for hellbanned user
A plugin I am working on for MyBB+ will replace this one.
I want this plugin, but it needs these important things fixed. What a brilliant idea.

It would cut WAY down if not completely eliminate the "retaliation" activities that butthurt members do after getting banned.

Paul, do you need help/motivation to complete the update? Smile
This looks like fun Paul. >:}
