I made a custom page using a tutorial I found on the net so no - no plugin.

How can I make that page show up so when people are viewing it it shows up the page name in the who's online list?

Insert the following code in your Templates > Your theme's templates > Who's online templates > "online" template.

<a href="LINK GOES HERE">PAGE NAME GOES HERE</a>

No, that isn't it....
