So I installed a plugin called 'Staff Applications', and this added a button to the forum home next to the calendar button and all of that. So I disabled the plugin, and deleted all of the files I transferred over via FTP. But that button is still there, how can I remove the button? Thanks.

Yes, and tried a different browser.
Are any of your calendar templates modified (green)?
If so, try reverting them if you haven't modified them yourself.
in general, the new menu item gets added to menu code in header template ;
if uninstalling the plugin has not removed that code then find it in header template & remove ..
