Hello,

A problem shows up.

In BOTH forums I have.They show the same error:

Quote:MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
2002 - Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
Query:
[READ] Unable to connect to MySQL server

Then I checked the cPANEL.I was able to log in and check the e-mails.

But when I used one of the links to a thread in Global Warming Skeptics.It took me to the forum successfully. Then I tried loading up the forum from by bookmarked URL.It now loads fine.

But why was I getting the error repeatedly.UNTIL I used a link from a failed e-mail delivery in my cPANEL? Then the problem vanishes?

I suspect the server is the source of the problem.The forum is up to date at 1.6.5

Another puzzling development has recently showed up.The Disk usage was around 285 MB.Then very quickly jumped to around 590 MB.It has stayed there since.The limit is 750 MB.But problems now show up.

Do I have a silent intruder?

Can anyone suggest what could be the problem?

It's a host issue. Their MySQL server isn't running. You need to contact them.

The server problem cleared up right after I made a post here about it.
