Problem

Since there is not many users of the forum i am wondering why the server load is so high... it is usually around 4 to 6 if there is any advice on what to do to reduce this it will be helpful

It's either your host or the shoutbox.

Server Load is determined by every site on the server not just yours. You can possibly help reduce the load by removing demanding plugins such as ProStats and MyShoutbox.

Is this shared host? If so then a load of 4-6 might be just fine on a dual quad core or other high end server.

for such that small statistic user, you have to leave your current webhost and find another. But, if the load or speed did not make your forum slow. Then everything is fine on shared-host.

Prostats adds a crazy amount of queries to your forum.

meh thanks for the help it was a shared host which completely failed
anyways i moved to hostgator business plan and the load dropped to 0.2/0.4
seems the last one was utterly crap lol

x10 hosting, even x10 premium, is a horrible host. I used to run a forum with 15 active members on it and I'd get suspended every hour.
