But the link is invalid. I don't want to use the group promotions to do this, but I'd like to restrict access to a certain forum until a user has gained, for example, 10 posts.

If there is a plugin available, preferably not a paid one, could you link me it please.

Not likely to work but try anyway.
The only good one is Fapcor at mybbcentral.
Yaldaram also has a premium plugin, which doesn't work or offer as many features as Fapcor.
