I have just swapped my forum community over from vBulletin4 to the latest MYBB version (1.6?).

I am having a few issues with the way guests are configured.

At present, they can see the the name of the forum board, but not the title of the threads present in that board. It sort of makes the forums look inactive.

What I would like to acheive is to, have the guest viewing the forum view the name of threads (on the forum home page) but when they click on the link to view the thread, they have to login or ultimately register...

For an example: http://pulsarowners.com/forums/

The Website Management section is the only forum disabled to guests at the moment...

Any advice, help appreciated!
Nick
Check the permissions of the Guests group in the ACP.
Have tried this.

What do the settings need to be?

I currently have the guest usergroup settings as viewing the forums but everything else denied...
I personally am not an advocate of requiring registration to view a thread's content. In my opinion, it drives a lot of people away and frustrates them. Generally when I view a site that requires registration to view links or content, etc, I just leave.

I am not saying that everyone is like me and gets frustrated, but I haven't done this before on my board (so I am not sure what to do past this point), and don't necessarily recommend it.
You'll need a plugin or mod to achieve that...

Many thanks Alan. That was exactly what I was trying to achieve.
