my forum allows guest posting ....
so i need captcha for guest posting ...
but i dont need captcha for user registration its irritation ...

i did Admin CP > Configuration > Settings > General Configuration > And Un-Check "CAPTCHA Images for Registration & Posting" ... in effect it disable captcha for both cases ...



i need i need captcha for guest posting only .. can any one help me ?

You've to edit ./member.php file.

Turn ON the Captcha in the Admin CP Option.

Now open the mentioned file and find;

$mybb->settings['captchaimage'] == 1

and Change it into;

$mybb->settings['captchaimage'] != 1

You've to edit this in 4 instances of the same file.

Save.

Now it should hide the Captcha while registration but shouldn't while guest's posting. But Please Note that hiding Captcha for registration is a welcome for the spammers.
