On Megaupload?
If true, major fail on MU's part.

Well, when you have 500billion files being uploaded a day, I'm sure it's easy to loose track! Plus, I'm sure millions of people are reporting files everyday. I know I would loose track, but hey that's what you have to do if you want to run a site like that.

Quote:Members of the Conspiracy have indicated to each other that they can automatically identify and delete such materials on all of their servers by calculating MD5 hash values of known child pornography or other illicit content, searching the system for these values, and eliminating them; in fact, such files with matching hash values have been deleted from the MegaConspiracy’s servers. Members of the Mega Conspiracy have failed to implement a similar program to actually delete or terminate access to copyright infringing content.

In short, they had the software and the ability, but refused to implement it.

No they have the ability to do it for those certain things yes. Also "indicated" isn't defining proof now. Furthermore there is no law that they need such an automatic system, none of this should be able to hold up in court. But hey, it's America so.

They are back up! Use the above address, but I'm not sure if it's true or not.
I got this from another website.

Lol, did the owners in handcuffs do this from a police cell? Or did the ones on the run do it whilst changing country?

But in MU's case, they're basically a company or at least have the resources of one.
They should be since I heard someone was appointed CEO.

So, with all the money that was being made, extra help could've been hired and government/corporation reports made the highest priority.

Still sounds like fail on MU's part.

Their biggest mistake IMO, celebrity endorsements & the music video/commercial they made.
I need to stop posting in this thread. MU founder's house below, not bad!
