Well, I'm kind of new to the plugin community, so I want to know..

Where do you get your plugin ideas?

I don't like making plugins that are already in the market, but that's kind of hard because there are so many out there.

Any advice is appreciated!

I make plugins based on what I need, that way even if nobody else likes them I feel accomplished.

Well, my goal is to build plugins that haven't already been thought of.. which is a lot harder to me!

Yeah, checking the plugin requests forum is always a good idea as then you know there are definitely people needing the plugin you've built.

I guess the general idea would be to create a function or ability that MyBB currently doesn't offer off the bat.

build a couple good plugins and then the requests seem to just come in 2-3 times a month :-)
