Hello guys,
I want to move my forum to a different domain name.
I used cpanel to backup home directory and database sql and restored in the new domain/account.
I access via phpmyadmin and changed all references of olddomain.com to newdomain.com
But when I access my forum in newdomain, I cant login...
What could be?
EDIT: I notice that the login url is the olddomain.com but I dont understand, because I change everything!?
what is your forum's new URL ? it appears that you have not changed the board url & cookie settings in admin panel ..
My new url is webvoices.org
Yes I changed via phpnyadmin...
now you have to change the board url & cookie settings in ./inc/settings.php file then again
at admin panel --> configuration --> settings --> general configuration ...
Thats It! forgot to change ./inc/settings.php

Using phpMyadmin, How?
I've chanched forum url (http://forum.doman.com -> http://domain.com/forum, MyBB is located into /public_html/forum)
I set carefully anything at admin panel --> configuration --> settings --> general configuration ...
but, threads/sudforums don't work!? (some link as in online.php and so on is working!)

The forum was working under [for Ex]
www.community.domain.com very well. the name of MyBB directory was "
forum" (=a branch of public_html directory) and that sub-domain was set on this directory. I decided to remove sub-domain and using the sub-directory directly as forum address! So:
1. I Edited:
admin panel --> configuration --> settings --> general configuration to change domain fields.
2. I renamed MyBB directory from
forum to another one was amended in 2nd step.
3. I redirected
www.domain.com to the main site (e.g.)
www.domain.com
Now -> The forum is accessible by newaddress and the special parts of forum are working as in: Online Users, Private message, etc.
BUT, link of threads/Posts/sub-forms redirects to an error page. Why? (find more details
here)
