Hi guys, I have just installed MyBB on my localhost. Now when I load the localhost/forum/index.php, it does not load the images and the css. Wonder what can I do to resolve it.
I assume my forum first page is index.php under my forum folder and not other folders (e.g in archieve etc.)
admin panel --> configuration --> settings --> general configuration --> Board URL <-- here do you have (exact) http://localhost/forum

AND do you see subfolder(s) in forum/cache/themes/ ; does the subfolder consist of folders & files
Alright! Thanks ranjani! That solved my problem. Earlier it was http://localhost/forum/index.php. So since we are here, can you explain to me what is the difference between Board URL and Homepage URL.
To your next question, I have forum/cache/themes/themes1 folder and a index.html file. So may I ask what are those index.html for in some of the folders?

To stop people browsing the directories.
board URL (at present http://localhost/forum for you) is taken as the base at many places
when we add a slash at the end it represents the default index page (i.e. home page for us) of the directory ..

AND as above member said, myBB has index.html pages at many folders to prevent direct access to folders & files by others
I see. So there is nothing wrong with those blank index.html pages when I open them up?
^ yes, nothing wrong . most of them are just blank files ..
