Full Version: How do I edit colours on certain parts of a theme?

Hello everyone,

I've recently switched themes. I'm now using SmoothGreyBB. I've switched to it because it feels a lot easier to navigate around. Anyway, I know there's a theme editor and a style sheet editor, this is my first time attempting to edit the colours on a theme and so I would be classed as a 'noob'.

Here's what I'm wanting my colours like: http://techgang.net/index.php

Here's my website as of now: http://uzigaming.com/index.php

TechGang has blue parts, where would I have to go to edit the colours of those parts of the theme. Also, in the background of my theme it's got a spiral design, I would like to completely remove that so it's a plain black. If that's possible and someone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Also; Is there any way of restoring my plugins? I switched themes and now they're not working, I know to fix them I would have to deactivate and re-activate them but that's time consuming, especially adding all my awards back to MyAwards. Is there any quicker way to get through it?

MyTube isn't working now, ever since I switched between themes, how do I resolve that problem?

Thanks a lot, best regards.

-Uzi.
Did you ever get this issue resolved?

I am attempting to edit my theme colors as well and specifically want to know what the location is called where the heading of a category is displayed. I am trying to make it easier to read by making the background a solid color and then I am trying to change the font color as well.

Thanks.
global.css is the file. what element depends on what you want to change. global.css is in cache >> themes >> the number of the theme you created.
