This is just a simple suggestion:

My suggestion is that you guys could make a upgrader in the forum so that we can just upgrade to the newest mybb software instead of just downloading it all the time.

This would be highly convenient, like Wordpress has it.

Not happening in 1.6 series, too big of a feature. I believe it will be core in 2.0 though.

I don't understand the people in that thread that think MyBB needs server access. Clearly, they have to learn about how PHP works...

I think it is a pretty fair idea though. I would probably use it.
