This is kind of my last resort and I'll try to keep it short, for a long time now I've had trouble setting up the mail feature correctly, people aren't able to receive the registration email. Therefore I disabled it, but disabling the email feature gives way for a massive amount of spambots that have been pestering my forums for a long time now. I added recaptcha and everything, banned their IP's, but they still come in great numbers.
So my questions kind of is, since I host myself from my home network, what ports need to be open for the mail feature to work? I may have missed them, or what other problem could it be?
I've tried the mail.php test but it simply says "Mail was sent by PHP" yet the email never arrives.
The software is run off of a Linux system, MyBB Version 1.6.4, http://temperancewow.com/forums/
