The site in your signature is using Apache 2.2 according to HTTP Response headers... I don't support 1.1.13 / MyBB 1.4 Google SEO anymore but it should work as described in the documentation.
Oh, I see... So I can upgrade...
I must confess, I am a bit scared as I am not all that familiar with Google SEO
As I am using MyBB 1.6.3 I need the extra plugin, but that shouldn't be a problem.
The big question is, once I download the new Google SEO, do I have to set it in any particular way or can I just use the predefined setting until I start understanding a bit more what is going on?
Also, is there a support thread? I couldn't find it
Thanks again.
You need to upgrade MyBB as well, as Google SEO 1.6 requires MyBB 1.6.4. MyBB 1.6.6 is supposed to be released soon so may be a good time... you should stay up to date with MyBB and all its plugins, always...
There's a support thread in the plugin releases section.
Quote:do I have to set it in any particular way
Apart from enabling the features you need/want, you can stick to the default settings for everything usually.
Hem... Google SEO Legacy plugin? Where do I find it?
The legacy plugin is for MyBB 1.4 and virtually identical with Google SEO 1.1.13. If you are on 1.6 you should go with the current version (of both MyBB 1.6 and Google SEO).
I see...
Upgrading is SUCH A PAIN IN THE NECK, that's why I was trying my best to avoid it, but I may have to do it if I want to get the SEO going again. I think it has been not working for... like... ever

turn on Google SEO and add the changes to your sites .htaccess
you can add them manually or click apply when it tells you to
