I'm trying to change the "mail settings" under "board settings" to use smtp instead of php, but it doesn't seem to be taking.
In the system mail log I'm still getting the error message:
"MyBB was unable to send the email using the PHP mail() function."
Am I doing this properly? I would expect to see an SMTP specific error message if something was wrong with my smtp settings. Do I need to somehow restart the forum so the change takes effect?
