I'm CrazyMouse, and I'm glad to join this nice community.
I do own a medium board (~1300 members), but I don't think I can share the link here as it's a forum about hacking and I know a lot of you do not appreciate it ...

Well, I just finished my plugin made for MyBB, and I was thinking to release it. I wont tell anymore about it until it's ready to release (you won't have to wait long ... :p)

But I have a question, my forum is growing but I would like to give it some help, so I was thinking about advertising inside my plugin, not a big advertisement, but maybe an image liking to my website ?

So, will this be accepted by the MyBB team ?

You can't link to a hacking site within your plugin. It wouldn't be accepted.

Bad news :/

So there is absolutly no way to advertise my website using my plugin ?
In this case, how could I monetize it ?

I know MyBB is free and I thank the team for this, but my server costs me a lot.

PS: My site is related to hacking, but any black hat content will be removed, we are a grey hat community.

If you release you plugin for free, you release it for others can benefit.
Not for money.
