I have showthread down to 21-23 queries because of an optimization I'm releasing with My Awards plugin so it's just one query in a thread.
We had to dump your awards plugin after the 1.5 upgrade - it just stopped working.
Turns out fastrep was at fault for a lot of queries - we reduced the queries from 60 down to 30ish for showthread. We're going to convert the thanks feature to more of a "like/upvote" feature in it's place.
