How do you prevent someone from shooting you?
I guess some advice would be to not piss anybody off..
There are solutions available to mitigate the attack, but it won't make it foolproof to my knowledge.
It's not something you can just turn off. You'll need to talk to your host about solutions they can put in place, it's not a MyBB issue.
