Seen some forums where the post count is visible, but to me it in a way creates a barrier according to the nice of the forums. For example some large general forums you dont see the post count of members, and it becomes more easy for noobs to join in on a discussion without feeling wired. Then there are tech support forums where members post count shows experience and sometimes their contribution to the community. I guess its a niche thing.
