helping a friend install mybb on his site to then merge his phpbb forum to mybb, but having some issues which the host verified is an issue with mybb and not on their end, and I think they're correct.

the current site has its forum in a /forum folder, but the domain name itself is set up so that punching in the url goes to the /forum folder without it needing to be added to the url.

anyhow, in order to install mybb, the host said to use this url:
http://shavenookcom.fatcow.com/mybb/

but going there shows a blank page and doesn't show any of the files in the directory.

however, for testing purposes, I created a test directory and it's working fine, as can be seen here:

http://shavenookcom.fatcow.com/test

any ideas what's going on so I can proceed with the mybb install?!

oh heck, you're right. why is the /mybb blank then when visiting that directory in the browser, usually it'll display an error?!
Again, that works for me too.
