The forum comes unhosted, with no server or domain. You must either A. Purchase a Domain / Website hosting, or B. Find someone who hosts MyBB Forums for free, In the Case of B. You don't need to download MyBB as the hosting website will already have it installed.

I'll be honest... If you are serious about a forum and its success, then you should really get a domain and paid hosting.
If it is just your little sandbox, then you can use a free host just fine.
