My members have more trouble knowing how to resize (and even upload) images than any lot I have ever encountered. What do you expect I guess, we are all just a bunch of blockheads; loggers, sawmill operators, and woodworkers.

Is there anything available that can automatically resize images to the forum? I have seen that function on other forums though i cannot recall if they were vB or what.

Second question. Does anyone know of a succinct video tutorial on how to resize and upload images to a mybb forum? YT didn't have one that I could find.
Yes there is a plugin.

It will automatically resize all images. You just need to set the size and mod will resize the image to the size you mentioned.
Thank you for this referral Praveer. Wink

I already had that one loaded but it doesn't work. It blocks the images if they are too big but doesn't resize or compress the images down so they can be displayed. I might not have the settings correct though what do you think?

That appears to only be geared to opening thumbnails into larger images. My forum I have the full sized images right in the post. I don't like thumbnails. My image file size I have set to 700KB and 1000 pixel widest. Do you think there is a solution for this? That thread is a little above my head I cannot really follow it.

I use this to make images take up less kb: http://webresizer.com/ don't know if that helps.

What I am searching for, and asking if it exists, is a plugin that will resize and compress images from say 2MB 4000x4500 pixels for example down to presets of 1000 x 640 (orwhatever the second number happens to be) and 700KB or less, without having to do anything to the files except upload them to the post.
Sorry can't help.
