I had to do a backup reinstall. And now i can't login to the site. I get the "you have beed successfully logged in..." message. But when i get redirected to the main page i'm not logged in.

Strange. The only thing i can think off is make sure your cookie path is set correct (if you can get to the admin CP) and try clearing your cookies.
