Hi everyone, our community is looking into transitioning away from Zetaboards, to SMF, and finally over to MyBB.
First off, let me just emphasize that all of this was a mock conversion, to make sure everything is done right before the real one occurs.
On the first conversion to SMF, passwords work perfectly, but once we merge with MyBB, most passwords would work, and yet, a sizable amount wouldn't.
To kick off with an answer to a commonly asked quesetion: yep! I did/do have the plugin that converts the passwords turned on.
I have already trashed the conversion install to start anew maybe in a few days (we really want to convert as soon as possible), so I have no solid proof that recreates all of this (However, this has happened in both of my mock conversions so far!).
Have there been any similar situations, and have there been any solutions to this problem?
