Hello everyone.

So, in the admin cp for mybb, it says that the Registered group is the default group for those who register on the forum. Is there a way to change this, as I cannot figure out how to change it?

Also, when a newly registered member reaches 30 posts, is there a way for that user to be automatically moved to a new user group?

You could change the Registered group permissions and name. For group promotions, go to your Admin CP -> Users & Groups -> Group Promotions

We did the same thing, but I could not figure out how to change the default group, so I renamed it to "newbies."

1-4 posts +1 day: Newbies Group with very restricted PM and signatures to help thwart spammers.
4-20 posts + 2 days: Junior Group
20+ posts and more than three days pass, they become regular members and can see more of the forums.
