I chose to not bother with any plugins and installed the code directly to my header and footer templates. The cells adjusted accordingly with the sizes of the two ad units, but the image of the ad itself does not appear in either section.

The AdSense code is active and works fine on another website, but not in MyBB forum which I have started building here, using the latest version of MyBB:
