The banner's background does not blend with the header colors (in other words you can distinctively see they're different colors). This can still be seen in the changed up design.
The black doesn't fit with green.

Your forum is a web hosting forum for a lot of discussion
yet your theme really pops out..I would not even use that color scheme on a gfx forum
For your niche I would suggest a mellow color that does NOT hurt the eyes after prolonged exposure, and unfortunately your current theme does that.
I had to close the tab after 10 secs of looking at it. It is way to bright.
This is just my opinion and i do not wish to offend.

It's like playing FEAR fullscreen or in a window with a white background.
Something dark and light together with no overflow hurts the eyes.

Okay, redesigned the theme. I actually believe it's nice now, will leave it there for a bit.
