I am a member of the forum group for Club cuddly, we have recently lost our webmaster, and are having some issues that we just do not have the skills nor expertise to ececute.
Is it possilbe to aquire some of your time to help us out?
The site http://www.clubcuddly.org is an adult forum group for plus size ppl, we are using version 1.6.5 (1605), and need this upgraded to the new version, we also have recently encoutered a problem with up loading attachments to the forums, where the attachment function is just no longer available to us.
And fully admit that it may have been something those of us with acess to the Admin CP, and site domain may have done.

Is it possible to offer some payment for your services to help us get the site back on track?

If so you may need to tell us what we need to do to allow you access to the site for the fixes, as said we really do not have the knowledge to do to much with the site, and no one within the members that has MyBB experiences, that we know of.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please we do need someone that knows what they are doing.

Regards

Bruce
You'll need to download a fresh copy of MyBB on this site, upload it all via FTP (overwriting all previous files), then once that's done go to /install/upgrade.php and chose 1.6.5 from the list of previous version, then run it. Once it's done then you can delete the /install/ directory via your FTP client.
What is the problem exactly with the attachments not uploading however?

EDIT:
You should put back the theme's copyright and MyBB's copyright as well if you want any support.
Thank you for the heads up, but as I have stated, we realy have no idea at all as how to do what you have suggested
OK first things first, do you have access to an FTP client/file manager or know what one is? A program called FileZilla is the most commonly used FTP client, or you may have access to a file manager within your host control panel if you have access to that, something like cPanel.

Matt we have access to file management for our site, this bring up a board with access to all parts of the site, Databases, File manager, Logs and email. and yes I believe it is call cpanel through our host log in

Yeah get the FTP details from there, and download a free FTP client (look up Filezilla or if you don't like that then WinSCP on google).

Then open the FTP client and put in the FTP details/information from the cPanel, and copy over all of the MyBB files (after you have downloaded the latest version, and up-zipped it). When it asks you to overwrite all of the files click on "Yes" or "Always do this action".
Once all of the files have uploaded, then go to your website and add /install/upgrade.php to the end. Then pick 1.6.5 from the drop-down of previous version, and then keep going through the steps. After it's done then you should delete the /install/ directory in your FTP client and your all set to go.

Your MyBB is now version 1.6.6 and updated to the latest version, however for your problem with the attachments can you be more specific as in what does the error do/is there a message? etc please. Smile

If you still don't know what to do, I can TeamViewer you for assistance if you'd like.
If you so wish this thread may be closed.
