I was planning on instaling a plug in for my forum and it says

This will be ported to MyBB 1.2.
My board is 1.0 - Will i have to instal the newer version of Mybb for this plugin to work, and will it overright everything on my board or delete all the posts?

I suggest you not to use that Plugin since it is not compatible with MyBB 1.x and only compatible with MyBB 1.2
Oh, I believe you still can use the Plugin.
The Author means that this Plugin will be updated to MyBB 1.2 when it is release.

It might delete your posts if you have not cleared your MySQL, but if you delete it to have a re-install, yes, the posts will be deleted.

No, most of the times MyBB gives you the instructions to upgrade to a newer version, most of the time, it will not delete away your posts.
