Is there a way to make posts on certain section of the forum not count towards your post count?
Yes it is possible.
Go to Admin cp
Then Forums
Select the forum you want the post count to be disabled.
Then after selecting the forum go to permissions, then click on Edit forum setting. Scroll down and untick "Yes, posts in this forum should count towards user post counts"
It will be done.
