I think it would be awesome if a PM could be sent to a user when they register, giving some advice.
You could:

• Specify the user to send the message
  
• Specify the message and subject
  
• Include some variables (eg {username} for the reader)
  
• Be able to include links and html

I'm not sure if that's up to date but you may need to change the compatibility setting in the file, this has been around for a while haha.
