I have a same problem add to .htaccess I did ! still no working

Hello I am facing this same issue on my website: www.rawalpindiforum.pk and trying a lot to add it into htaccess file and I could not do it, please help me to do that. I am waiting for your reply

I had this issue today. my CPanel File utility was not allowing me to change the file name. I had to install a FTP program on my computer (Filezilla) and finally I was able to rename the file. Honestly, I could not believe that was the issue. Hope it helps someone going forward.

if anybody still have this problem
before open htaccess.txt and add the rules that google seo plugin ask you to add
then save it on your server and rename it .htaccess
then active the plugin and enable Enable search engine friendly URLs?
