Anyone know how to deactivate (keywords Delete, disable, stop, remove) the thread rating system? It's not really applicable in my forum and the stars are placed/drawn on top of important popups made via plugins. I appreciate the excellent help, thank you.
Admin CP > Configurations > Setting > Forum Display Options > Use Thread Ratings?

It's possible they limited your control, if that's the case.
Nope, paid hosting and I have complete control. how to disable via commenting out php code?
I upgraded to 1.6.7 and I then had the option to turn it off. so All is well.. might have been some sort of hosting install package issue.
