That's because you started advertising on tons of sites. You're bound to get a lots of hits as people give reviews and feed their curiosity- don't be too upset when that number drops mate.
Why do you constantly try mugging people off?
I asked a question on how I could get them to register, not why they came...
To what extent are you willing to go:
1 - Nicely
2 - Fairly Nicely
3 - Neutral
4 - Not so nice
5 - Force
Google Analytics is more accurate inmho.

You can't force them to register even on PokemonTalk I get many guests viewer. If you have good content and threads people will register. I just visit site to give review, I guess I'm not the only one.
Think adding the guests can only view 5 threads will help out?

That would just make me, personally, leave your site ASAP.
The only way you can get people to join is if you provide enough incentive for them to join. Content is king.
