Hi,

I'm working on the site http://www.livinlowcarbdiscussion.com/

I'm upgrading from 1605 to 1607 (I previously tried upgrading to 1606, but had the same issue I'm having now)

So I'm using the upgrade script - or at least trying. I use ftp to copy up everything in the upgrade package, then go to http://www.livinlowcarbdiscussion.com/install/
but don't get the screen the Wiki says to expect. It wants to do a fresh install.

Once before (when I originally upgraded to v1605) I had this happen and was able to jumpstart the process by going to http://www.livinlowcarbdiscussion.com/in...pgrade.php and continuing on from there. This time, no dice: I get error 500.

I'm really confused and would very much appreciate any help or insights anyone can offer!Smile
It appears to believe that MyBB has not yet been installed. Can you double check that you've still got the ./inc/config.php file and that the details specified within it are correct?

Well, I don't have a file by that name, I have config.default.php, though.

Should I copy over config.php from my backup?
Yes, you definitely should. It seems you must have deleted it. the ./inc/config.php file stores all your database connection information so it's fairly important.
OK, I did that and it progressed a bit further, but then I got "Templates Reverted Error"
That's odd. Could you post a screenshot of the actual error?

Here you go
Now that is odd. At least a few details should be given. Make sure that all upgrade files are definitely there. I don't see why you'd get any error like that without any description.

I restored my backup and then re-upgraded. I used the MERGE setting in the ftp client and it worked, so problem solved!

Thank you!
Ah, glad it's solved.
