I was saying that using it to access users' accounts could be invasion of privacy, and potentially illegal. Storing in plaintext isn't, I know.
@OP - Sorry if you thought I was specifically accusing you (I wasn't
). Unfortunately these days, newer forum admins are sometimes doing crazy things that are borderline stupid. I simply didn't know what you wanted to do with them, so went with the most likely, just in case.
