Hello There.

My install works well up until the time that it tries to insert data into the tables that have been created.

ETC ETC ETC

All tables have been created, click Next to populate them.

I click Next and then I get this message:



The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500

•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

Contact your host.

Could you check your server's error logs please and post the contents here?

Is this something that I should be able to access myself or do I have to go via my host?

It depends. Most hosts allow you access to it. Check your cpanel - there should be a link there somewhere that lets you access your error log.

I spoke to my host and they indicated that the error given above was due to the fact that I had not deleted the Install directory (....because, as far as I am concerned, it has not finished installing).

I have now deleted the Install directory but am now facing another error message:

MyBB has experienced an internal error and cannot continue.

Error Type: MyBB Error (42) Error Message: Your board has not yet been upgraded. Please do so before attempting to browse it.
