hi how do i ad a image in the nav bar for my homepage link i know the template needs editing dout what do i put in the template to add the image like how the search ect have got images

Same as search have. Just copy code from search image and replace it for new one for your home.

Search:

<li><a href="http://vauxhallmodified.co.uk/search.php"><img src="images/toplinks/search.gif" alt="" title="" />Search</a></li>

Home:

<li><a href="http://vauxhallmodified.co.uk/portal.php"><img src="images/toplinks/HOME.gif" alt="" title="" />HOME</a></li>

Of course you need to upload that image HOME.gif correctly. (You can call it how ever you want).
