Which one do you prefer to see in a domain or directory: forum or forums?
Doesn't matter.

I personally think forum sounds better.
I'd much rather have basketballforum.com over basketballforums.com
If you have to have a directory I like the good old community.domain.com or domain.com/community.
In a domain name I prefer forum but it makes zero difference.
"Forum" as a singular does not really make sense unless your community literally has one single forum. Anyway, the word "forum" is really not relevant to most people anymore ...
"Something forum" is often searched for much more than "something forums" on Google, so that can work in your favour. I prefer forums though.

I always search plural. Am I just weird?
After being on most of labrocca's forums. I too search for forums and would prefer forums.
But totally depends on domain too.
IMO it depends upon the type and nature of your website. I personally like "forums".
i personally like forums, as i have 2 domains with "forums" at the end.
