I have mybb installed in /home/memberrc/mybb

How do I succesfully change the folder name to community so I can display www.mydomain.com/community and have everything work properly?

Simply renaming the folder + changing the dir from mybb to community in configuration creates a log in loop where I can't access Admin CP or my Admin Account.

Is there a specific way to do this?

Make sure you change your board URL and cookie path before changing the directory.

So turn of the forum for a moment > change the url/cookie path in the admin (configuration/general configuration ) > change the folder name > test the forum and if it works turn it back on.
