I think there should be something which checks the threads content and doesn't allow users to post same thread twice. (Or some time limit)
This will be good to stop spam bots, as they post the same thread over and over again.

There should be option in ACP to enable/disable this feature and also restrict to a particular usergroup.

What do you think?

This can be good idea. As you sayed it can prevent bots to post 1000 threads with their sites etc etc.
It also can check links in thread's and if there is same links in few threads to ban that members or limit him.

Already exists IIRC... at least for replies.... if it's not for threads it should be.

It exists for Private Messages too, but if we have a option for threads it'll be better.

I don't think it exists for new threads so I'm all for it!
