It is possible Who is online without show ip adress??
AdminCP > Users and Groups > Groups > Edit the usergroup you don't want to see IP > and under "Miscellaneous" tag > Untick "Can view IP addresses on who's online?" checkbox.
Edit the usergroup and untick "Can view IP addresses on who's online?".
