I use two domain...
i use this plugin http://mods.mybb.com/view/autoset-bburl-1.1.2
I put this in
Cookie domain: blank
Cookie path: /
Problem: all static file not cookie. I used CDN to solve this.

This is really needed in my case. (local site not changing the live site untill i figure out how to do this)
I have the forum in /forum/ and i need to cookies also to be used in the root of the site.
Reason:
The login system requires the cookies but those when the cookie path is set to the /forum/ dont work since they are only accesible in the subfolder.
