I see these have come up with other members during the upgrade. Are they serious?

My forum seems to be running OK, but I was concerned over those errors.
And yes, settings.php & config.php was set to 777
Strange update! I just checked, and there are now two settings.php and two config.php files in my directory???? How is that possible? When I uploaded the old ones, shouldn't they have written over the new ones???
I don't know which ones to delete? Help!?
